How We Rolled:

We Were:
An open family of believers seeking to follow Jesus Christ and live out His teaching while we watch for His return.

Our Vision and Action Commitment as a Church Family:

• We worship God with passion, as a lifestyle choice, and love one another in practice.
• We teach, equip and disciple through sound Biblical theology with practical, personal application.
• We welcome and incorporate all people, and develop each person’s gifts, to build the Body of Christ and benefit the wider community.
• We share the Gospel of Life in Christ in all ways possible – especially through our personal networks.
• We have a local, national and international community focus, rather than a self-focus.
• We do all this in obedience and with an expectation of Christ’s return to reign as King.

Sunday Worship – 10am:

Sunday Morning Teaching• We met at 10am on Sunday mornings to worship God and encourage one another in our Christian walk.
• Our service style was not too formal, but neither was it irreverent.
• Our music was blended worship – a mix of traditional hymns, classic choruses and contemporary worship songs.
• Our Bible teaching was expositional, practical and drawn from a variety of Old and New Testament texts.
• We celebrated Communion weekly and on special occasions (Easter, Christmas etc). Our table was ‘open’ – if you love Jesus you were welcome to join with us.
• We encouraged children to be involved in our Service. Our children participated in reading the Scriptures, playing instruments in the Worship Team, sound engineering, and the younger children did colouring or bible quiz activities as we were taught from the Scriptures.
• After the service we met for fellowship and morning tea in the lounge at the rear of the church hall.

Facilities

• We had two ‘Crying Rooms’ with double-glazed windows facing into the sanctuary. They were equipped with toys and books if you preferred to sit with your children as they played. There was an adjustable speaker in each room and in the entrance lobby so you could also hear the service.
• We had wheel chair access via the hall entrance on the outside left of the church.
• Our sanctuary was air conditioned for cooling during the hot months, and warmth during the cooler.

Take a ‘Visual Tour‘ of our building.

Messy Church

Messy Church TakaniniOn the third Sunday monthly we held a Messy Church Service. This was an all-age Sunday School designed for all generations to participate together in a meal, activities, crafts and a simple lesson from the Bible.
